Manual filament change

I would like to know if it is possible to make a manual color change without using the ams lite, I have always done it with the “M600” on Marlin printers but I don’t know how to make a manual filament change with this printer. I only have it for two days.

You will have to do it manually using the 4 or 5 color Swap Instructions on the model page. After you slice the model, use the layer bar on the right to get to the layer you want & right click on it to bring up the Menu & click ‘Add Pause’. You will have to right click Add Pause at each layer change. [Clipboard01]

Would it also be used to make keychains with several colors on the same layer?

Manual changes are done per layer. If you want to do multi colour inside the layer it’s best to get an AMS.

Hi,
I found this topic while struggeling with the same situation.
From my previous Elegoo printer and Orca slicer I am used to add a second filament in the filament section and right-click on a layer in the preview window and select “change filament”. This way the preview is rendered in the colors of the filaments.
However, this is not working, as my A1 doesn’t pause at all.

Should I try the “pause” option instead? Or is there a better way to do this?
