I got my H2 with the 40W laser module just about 4 weeks ago and completed some projects now. For instance, I engraved a logo and name into 25 painted steel cups. I put a calibration grid on the bottom of the first cup and then fine-tuned the settings over the next 6 cups. For this project, I used the Bambu Lab preset for the “20oz Stainless Steel Tumbler” as a reference. So far, so normal.
However, there’s more projects coming up where I would like to engrave common products such as an Opinel pocket knife or a 720°DGREE bottle. Testing on these objects would be pretty expensive and the settings should be pretty equal for all H2x users (at least with the same laser module).
Is there any place where settings for such specific objects or materials can be shared? How do more experienced laser users handle this?
