Yesterday was my birthday and I got a roll of Matte Ash Gray from my sister.
Today, I saw this thread.
I will load up my A1 and report back on results, but I do suspect the problem (if there is one for me) to be water content. My room where I print ranges from 45% to 65% and I have a terrible habit of leaving reels on the printer. So filaments can suck up water pretty quick.
I ususally run a reel that has been out through 2x 5 hour drying cyles on my Eibos dryer before vaccing and packing.
Here’s another one with the same problem… My A1 just out of the box, I bought 2 kg of Matte Black PLA to print some boxes and Skadis boards for my workshop. I’ve tried flow calibrations, different profiles, drying the filament… and the print quality with this PLA is still disappointing.
I’ve battling with all I can with the Matte filaments on my A1 Mini, good freaking god are they terrible, constantly clogging and I can’t print consistently, I can with the Basic ones, but white matte on 2 different ones, a dry and wet on the AMS, are absolutely a nightmare
I don’t even dry my PLA filaments (Matte, silk) after opening the bags and I never have a printing problem! Your problems are strange with my 10 year old replicator 2, there on the other hand it was a disaster 8 times out of 10 even when it was new.
