Has anyone done max flow testing using different nozzle sizes?
I am curious if the .4 nozzle is the limiting factor, or if it is the heater block.
I have some items that could be printed with a .6 or .8 nozzle and quality would be fine, but if that does not allow for higher flow there is no point in using a larger nozzle.
Wanted to know the same. Thanks. Ordered now both nozzles because I wanted to print some larger stuff and want not wo wait 12h for a print.
It’s some of both, but mainly the heater. I have read that aftemarket CHT nozzles can get significantly increased flow (up to 50 mm^3/sec).

Yes but you can’t mount them just like this on our Printers, you would need a new hotend I think?

Yes - there are aftermarket hotends that accept these nozzles. You can find others here who have them.I bought a “kit” that was supposed to include CHT nozzles but did not - the seller is giving me a hard time about it. That’s the risk with dealing with Aliexpress.
