Any updates? Currently had some of the same issues with a brand new Lidar replacement on my X1C.
Unfortunately still an ongoing issue. First support recommended replacing the USB-C cable. Since they did not actually send it, I bought one from the shop, installed it and had no improvement whatsoever. Next, they sent a new LIDAR (but not the required adhesive), I replaced it and … absolutely no change whatsoever.
So then it became apparent that support was giving me the runaround, asking for hardware “repairs” of a software issue (as per the wiki, a Firmware bug is listed as a rather probable root cause since at least 05 Dec 23) without actually bothering to look at the log files or images.
So I now regard it as a warranty issue rather than a technical issue and requested a replacement printer. They of course missed the first deadline to refund the cable and consumables for the unneccesary repairs and are probably also going to miss the replacement printer deadline.
I now expect this to be resolved legally rather than technically.
Yeah I watch my printer scan the wrong area entirely for the calibration. It looks a bit too far to the left on the X axis than it is supposed to be and it seems to be a issue with the code for calibration itself rather than the printer not knowing where it is. I also got new lidar and supposedly new USB coming but no followup on the USB yet. It’s very obviously software related.
Pretty much exactly what I am experiencing. Ticket opened 30 Dec 2024, no real progress.
