Message "AMS2 Slot3 filament has run out" cannot be cleared

So filament run out in my AMS but as that was expected I had an additional spool waiting. Switch was successful and print finished successful but the message does not clear.

I even reloaded the filament in that slot, it is shows successful and even prints just fine. So three prints down the road the message still shows in HMS and it seems the only option is a self check or power cycle of the printer to clear the message…

So when does the message disappear ? Because rebooting a printer seems a bit drastic (especially since the AMS won’t remember any k values etc.).

So save the K values to BS or Orca and reset…like a lemming, I know what to do next but nobody is telling me to do it so I won’t

That’s one solution but surely not one that should be necessary

I don’t think you quite grasp what a nonchangable parent directory of presets means

I clearly don’t understand what you are talking about. Whatever it is, if a system throws an error due to a condition and the condition is resolved, the error should not be present anymore or it should be removable.

Cycle the machines power after doing a System reset, kinda the default IT did you turn it off and back on first. $100K machines have similar errors for the same reasons, nothings perfect and dropping 600-1200 isn’t magical armor that weird stuff won’t happen

I work in IT and whilst that is indeed the international way of troubleshooting almost anything, in my job if I need to power cycle a server every time I close a specific app to remove the lock, then there is a problem with the app and rebooting the server should become the norm.

Cool as a systems engineer Im telling you what to do, you choose to sit there and look at the same screen that’s a you choice

I certainly appreciated your help. A shame we don’t work in the same company as I am sure you are a delight to talk to. Have a great evening or day or morning, whatever your time zone.

Same issue here, and i HAVE rebooted my machine and it STILL shows in the Handy App, so wondered did you ever find a resolve?

How is it nearly 2025 with the issue still persisting …

I’d say you must be new here but you’re the OP with a post from 2023…

Have you blown out the sensor area in case tape adhesive or dust is blocking the sensor?

That’s not the issue because the message is cleared once you turn printer off and on again or not print for a while. I think it’s just an oversight because any other message you can clear with ‘ignore’ etc. - yet this one is stubborn. And it isn’t an error saying it simply run out - it does say it switched correctly, which it does, and would switch back again if needed. It’s just stupidly stubborn that’s all … Like I say - a simple ‘ignore’ button would be great to clean old messages like that.

ANd what does it have to do with me being new or not …

It was a joke about Bambu not fixing things fast since this has been an issue for you for a while. You were asking how it was possible there were still issues from 2023 that were unresolved and while Bambu has fixed a number of things, there’s some simple stuff people have been wanting for a while.

Sorry, brain wasn’t braining
