Micro-lidar 3D results!

Would anyone like to be able to view the 3d images taken by their printer during the first 7 minutes of each print? I know I would!

Let’s make this happen already!

LIDAR doesn’t give you a picture - it’s a distance measuring technique. There’s no reason that the printer would turn these measurements into a picture you could view.

Correct! However, it gives you data that can be interpolated to 3D images.

It is for the best reason of all! Pure awesomeness!

So now we are all curious!

Yeah, I want the lidar procedures to be a lot less opaque. I want to know what my measured extrusion width is. I want see values for the pressure advance that I can associate with specific filaments. I want to see which values are being adjusted and to what. I want the first layer scan to give me a qualitative score about the extrusion quality and line spacing, not just a seemingly arbitrary pass/fail.
