Today i got my second a1 Mini. But the new mini is in idle so much louder than my mini from Late 2024. is this normal?

Hi, I bought an a1 mini a few days ago, also a late 2024 and it is not noisy. At rest it’s practically inaudible, when it has a heated nozzle it’s about 26 db, and during printing the readings ranged from 36 to 52 db on standard settings.

I’ve just received my A1 Mini yesterday, and i noticed 2 things:
- Both the hotend and mainboard fans are very very loud (i don’t understand why the mainboard fan must run so high even when it’s not printing)
- While printing it shakes my apartment, the print came out beautiful, but it really vibrate a lot!
Are all these things normal?

I got my mini 1 week ago. Yes, that thing is loud. It’s not the movements of the axes it does, which are really very very quiet, but both the fans of the hotend and mainboard. I wonder too if that is normal and intended to be like that. I have to measure its loudness with my pretty accurate dB meter (Digital Sound 8922), but I really can’t imagine that is anywhere in the 30s or 40s region. I think it’s more like 60+ dB 1 meter away. I will post results.

I’ve just made a little test print and confirmed what you say, the two fans are very loud, and while the hotend one can be lowered, the mainboard one is constantly on and on a much higher level, being almost unbeareable standing near for long period…

Perhaps they had mainboard problems and since then raised the fan speed…Seems kind of a crude solution.
Yes, I agree. got two, one in late 2024 and one of beginning of 2024, the late model has a loud fan going when it’s sitting idle, I’m gonna open a support ticket now because that’s just unacceptable
