Misleading profiles images and models

this user has 20k downloads and hasnt provide an accurate print profile image for any of his print profiles. every model has profiles for AMS color changes and some models are 6" tall but on some print profiles there is either no photo at all or a photo of a 1" tall single color print clearly printed in low quality to get a quick photo.

https://makerworld.com/en/u/1441537949

" * Print profiles must be printed before making them public. We also require print profile creators to include their own actual print images along with their print profiles to demonstrate print-ability."

clearly some of the models have been printed by users and work well but i dont understand why the designers deception has been just allowed to continue unchecked, or is it just me and this profile / models are ok and allowed?

plus the whole profile is an Advert for his paid subscription services. yet. the community guidelines say no advertising

" * Do not post advertising information on your account name, description, pictures, etc."

yet every single description is nothing more than direct links to stuff he is selling.
and his photos contain the address to his paid service.

I’ve looked at a few print profiles and they all had a picture of a printed model. Click on the arrow in the side and you’ll see all pictures for that model. Haven’t checked all

Remember that this is mainly a user forum. If you want to do something against it, report it. Don’t expect bambulab or CS to read what you post on here.

In terms of advertising I’m not sure to what extent it isn’t allowed. Am i not allowed to advertise my models, pages and whatnot or am i just not allowed to literally advertise. I.e go download raid shadow legends, sponsored by hello fresh or whatever.

that photo is not an accurate photo of that print profile at all even if it is an accurate photo of that model. and look at the model description, there is literally ZERO information about the model just links to his site to pay for a subscription.

True. Single color vs multicolor.

so this 100% fails to meet the requirements imo but who knows.

So report them. Making a thread to complain about it here doesn’t really change anything.

i could i guess, i really don’t want to report something that is ok and not an issue, i was hoping to get some clarification on here about what others thought. just seems to me its intentionally misleading people by skirting around the rules and showing 3D renders of beautiful models as the main profile photo and a basically fake photos of a small quickly printed single color model as the secondary photo just to earn points from not only many downloads but also many many profile downloads as well.

all the free printers/ams units/filament this person has earned in points you think they could take some time to actually print a model in full color using their profiles.

That’s not how your post comes across to me. I read it as you’re upset that this person is not following your interpretation of the rules.

Read the reviews. People like his/ her models. IMHO this is what counts the most.
