Missing ironing step on parallel object

I am printing a 3D Letter desk sign. This is a part of the 3D model for better visualization:

The Letter desk sign consists of two words, which can be connected after printing. Because of this connection, there is a very small overhang. The thickness of the overhang is 1mm.

For this overhang I used specific for this one object the support settings:

For the other object that is printed simultaneously there is no support needed.

The object without support is ironed. The one with support is not.

The objects have both the same hight.

What can I do, so both objects have the ironing?

Thank you!

If it is PLA, this is likely going to print fine as a bridge without support.

Did you enable object specific settings? Or are the two object of a slightly different height and you have used “Topmost surface” rather than “Top surface”?
I think we may need to see screenshots of your Quality settings and the model to better help with troubleshooting.

Thank you @EnoTheThracian,

here are more detailed information:

The objects have exactly the same height of 12 mm.

I used “top surface” for ironing:

I enabled object specific setting for the object that needs support:

I printed it already without support and I was not settisfied with the result. The support version gives a perfect result.

And these are the rest of my settings:

Mhm, strange. Could you post the 3mf here? That may be easier than lots of screenshots (previews and further settings).

This is my file:

If I print the objects seperately the ironing works also with the support.

And I realized, that the ironing finishes at the end thickness. But the object that is with support is a little bit thinner without the ironing (in the micro mm area).

I checked again the surface of my single print and the parts in red are the parts, that are not ironed after all:

Having just had a look at the file, it does look very much like premature abortion of the print. That is also what is apparent in your screenshot.
With the slice looking OK, do you get any error messages? Or is the printer reporting “Print successful”?
And are you printing with an AMS or from the rear spool?

Finally, you could also try to print both parts on two plates, just in case there’s print aborting heat creep during lengthy ironing. I have never experienced heat creep with PLA, but then I do not use ironing frequently.

The printer is not giving any error messages. I get the message Print Success.
I print from a spool, no AMS.
I printed the last screenshot alone already and it could not even finish this one completely.

I read, that I could increase the ironing speed from 40mm/s to 60mm/s. I will try that.

The solution lies not in increasing the ironing speed from 40m/s to 60mm/s (this can lead to a not so nice surface) but in taking the glas lid of the Bambu Lab P1S during the ironing process when printing with PLA+.
I printed 3 parts already with long ironing time and my extruder is not clogged.
