I hadn’t seen this simple mod to reduce the fan noise on the X1C before, so I thought I’d share it. I used a side cutter along the perimeter. You’ll also need to remove the charcoal filter. Don’t worry -the fumes are ducted to the industrial ventilation exhaust at work.
