For quite a while now, (several updates worth) I notice that the model and the plate both drift slowly, vertically down the screen while using the program. Does this have some sort of functionality to it? It bugs me when I go back the the program after its been open for a couple of hours and have to zoom, scroll, change tabs, whatever, to get the model back into view.
Welcome to the forum.
This is not normal behaviour. If you unplug your mouse and keyboard does it continue to “drift”? I’ve had similar “drifts” on other programs but it’s always been that my 3D space mouse had something resting against it.
Don’t know about the drifting but to get the model back in center just do a ctrl-0 ( that’s zero not O)
Thanks, that’s handy to know
No other program I have seen does this, I also use other CAD programs. I use a plain laser mouse.
The drift stops if I open any menu item, but then continues after it is closed or if I am manipulating the model in the main window. The drift rate is about 1mm/sec vertically downward.
Did you try this?
No, I didn’t try that because I don’t see it as a workable solution. My computer is booted every day from power off.
Edit: my bad: it turns out I had a 3Dconnexion device attached to my computer (unused for many years). I unplugged that and the problem was fixed.
Thanks.
Nail it.
