Regarding the removal of the “real-life photo” checkbox in the upload flow, we’d like to clarify the reason behind this change.
We introduced the requirement to manually mark images as real-life photos in October. In our late-December update, this manual checkbox was removed. The reason is that we’ve updated our detection strategy: we now automatically analyze all uploaded cover images and gallery images to determine whether they contain real-life printed objects. This reduces the need for creators to manually label images.
That said, we still believe that real-life print photos are essential information for a model listing, as they help users better evaluate a model and make more informed decisions about whether to print it.
