Dear User,

We have received a intellectual property infringement complaint from the rights holder POP MART regarding the model you uploaded. In accordance with our applicable intellectual property policies and relevant rules, the model has been taken down.

If you believe this action was taken in error, you may submit an appeal and we will review and verify the case.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

then look at the model

this is a cyberick contest for the joysticks, what does it have wrong with POP MART?

Just appeal it.

The system is broken, as it has little to no verification. All it takes is someone to file a claim.

I think it’s a guy that I found selling on vinted one of my model without permission, and now he is reporting everything I uploaded for revenge. This is so bad…

It’s the Labubu people. I just posted this in the community section. I’m pretty sure they’re just doing automated takedowns based on keywords.

The same happened to me, at EXACTLY the same time today, with the EXACT SAME message. What the ■■■■?

My model: handles for the AMS 2 Pro for people using the AMS Flipper. I spent quite some time designing this thing, and I have no clue why Labooboos should feel threatened by it.

How/where can I “submit an appeal”, by the way? There are no links to be found…

I have also received a message like that at exactly the same time.

However - I don’t find any information what was taken down and why. I can’t seem to get to a page on makerworld where I could even see which model is affected?

The appeal button is found when you click on the “taken down”.

You can also open a support ticket.

I agree with @zentenro . I think they are filing reports based on keywords.

I had to open a support ticket.

I just scrolled through my models until I found the red text that says Taken Down under the thumbnail.

OK, I found the model also while scrolling through my uploads.

The “infringement” is regarding a simple, simple, SIMPLE model of a knob that fits over a handle of a shelf that I created almost a year ago, when I was still starting out with tinkercad. WTF?

Got the same today for two simple coaster designs - also by POP MART. They’ve like nothing in common with their IP / Figures.

If some company goes so crazy with obviously automated take-down attempts without even checking the models Bambu should block that company or put them on a list where they have to provide more details / manual checks before anything gets de-listed.

Just a little advice: Take your time and find out how to file an appeal. The problem is that this is not a normal appeal, but an IP appeal. These must be taken seriously. So don’t even think about writing just a one-liner.

Above all, you only have one chance to raise an appeal, then it’s over and there’s no possibility of challenging it further - at least to my last knowledge.

So please, even if the situation is completely ridiculous, take filling this out seriously.

@MakerWorld It would be a good idea to check whether Pop Marts has recently sent a large number of invalid IP claims via the MakerWorld system and if there is a problem that the system has been abused.

It took me 15 minutes to check what has been taken down…

Cant appeal it.
i will get the message “Currently, the system does not support appeal operations for the model and profile.

If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to contact the platform’s customer service.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.”

searched for the user Pop Marts.

Cant find it?

Looks like an abuse situation for the report.
the only thing i did in the last 24 hours report a weird download of a model that was using some one els his pictures.
Download contained a zip file….
Any one did the same perhaps?
Kind of a payback perhaps?

This is not a user, but a company. Like Lego, Disney, whatever. :+1:

Same happened to me. WTF!!!

Could be that the system receives too many appeals in a short time frame and pauses the appeal operation to look at the root cause of the many takedown requests.

This can become more common, as more and more 3D models start to get paid (in MW’s case, BL is paying). Companies such as Pop Mart get taken requests from printable 3D model platforms and decide to fight back.

One problem is that 3D model platforms are not the shining examples of upholding IP rights. Go to any platform and one can see many models that infringe on other companies’ characters or trademarks. No one can say for certain that no models on 3D model platforms come from other companies’ creations.

Same, model taken down by pop mart. And the appeal button does not support. Stupid system. My model had absolutely nothing to do with pop mart or funko pops or anything like that.
