More efficient travel?

Hey all,

Working on optimising a large enclosure print at the moment and looking into the travel time on this print as a means to reduce. As far as I can tell - this is not timelapse/camera related but actually moves on the part itself.

With just under an hour of a nearly 8 hour print taken up in travel, I’d really like to try and get the toolhead running as efficiently as possible and minimise the wasted time as much as practicible as I will be printing a fair few of these.

Any ideas would be most welcome and appreciated.

Cheers

Try to enable the Avoid Crossing Wall setting under the Quality tab. This should help minimize the travel moves.

You should review your own Wiki. This setting does not make travel more efficient - it forces detours and longer paths to avoid dropping strings and blobs on the model during travel. If anything, to reduce travel time, “Avoid crossing wall” should be disabled, or the Max detour length set to a small value.
