More Printers In Bambu Studio

I’d like to be able to use my other printers in Bambu Studio so I don’t have to run other slicers.
I’d like to see Sovol SV06 & SV06 Plus added…and if possible my Ender 3 Pro.

I don’t think that too many users of Bambu printers also have those ‘throw away priced’ machines.
The Creality Ender 3 is supported for a long time, thanks to @SoftFever.
So not really Bambu work, more community work.
Maybe if you check with developer there is something in the making already ?

You can check if the machines are compatible in general though:
Add a new printer and select unknown for the manufacturer to enter the corresponding make and name.
Complete the rest of the setup according to the actual hardware and see if the machine can deal with G-code from Studio you placed on a SD card.

You could use Orca slicer.

Try posting the request at the Orca Slicer Github repository. There will be a more receptive audience there.

You can post it under Issues but preface it with the words [Feature Request]

For some reason I can’t run Orca slicer, it crashes my computer during slicing.

OrcaSlicer already has Sovol and Ender 3 profiles.

If OrcaSlicer is crashing on your computer, provide the system details on Github and someone can probably find a solution (or a reason).

Studio has an Ender 3 S1 Pro profile, if that works for you.

If you ever have an issue with a program crashing, you’ll want to go to your Windows event viewer and filter the logs. They will tell you which model failed and then place that error message in ChatGPT and ask for a remedy.

Hopefully you’re not a SysAdmin in your day job and I therefore hope what I am about to share isn’t going to be insulting. Most people don’t know of this tool in Windows. The example is for Win 11 but the event viewer has been around since Win 3.1(1993)

Here’s a quick tutorial of the event viewer. This works best if you try this right after a failure and note the system time so that you can search for that timeframe in the log.

Step 1 - Right-Click on Start and Select event viewer.

Or you can simply press the Windows key and start typing the words “event v” and it will come up in the menu and just select it.

Step 2 Click on Application, then Filter Current log, then select Critical and Error.

Step 3
Scroll through the log for the date and time your crash occured. You will find many errors, it’s amazing Windows even runs sometimes but most of these are just processes that are due to sloppy third party coding. Often drivers.

Once you find where your program is listed, click on it and copy and paste the error into ChatGPT and ask for a remedy. In my example, Rainmeter, a utility I use crashed.

Step 4 - Paste into ChatGPT with the prefix:

Review this error message from Windows Event viewer and help me understand how to fix it. Explain it in layman’s terms:

It will looks like this

ChatGPT will attempt to give you an english language explanation. If the explanation does not make sense, hit the refresh button and it will try to explain it a different way. In this case, option 4 sounds like something I can easily do but let’s say I don’t know how.

So I ask it for more clarification. Sometimes the explanation may not make sense. In that case, you talk to it like a person and ask for clarification, like this:
