Movement marks in top/ final layers

hello everyone.

these ‘movement’ marks appear in the topmost layers

of a P2S print with BL Black matte.

Coaster-Runestone-BambuStudio.3mf (2.2 MB)

i used the .3mf as downloaded except for the colour change.

the print is good until the topmost finish.

your help with the print would be much appreciated.

Ridges in the top layer like that normally are an indication that the part is lifting off of the build plate in that section. When this happens to normal first course of action is to ensure the plate is properly cleaned so that the part continues to adhere properly. The wiki had a really good article about properly cleaning your build plate.

thank you. i will deal with that.

So I have a similar issue for this after updating finally to the 2.7.1.62.

This was a 3mf, setting don’t look touched and I have printed this file hundred of times.

I hate to be that (“it was working until the update”) guy, but I wonder if this caused anything. Looking at the setting they seem to be unchanged but not sure if I am missing anything. My first instinct was overhang, but I assume they were untouched.

Welcome to the forum.

Does this happen if you reprint the model that was sliced with the previous version? If you look in your print history you can select and reprint a previous version. Printing this version should show you if the problem stems from a slicing issue or filament issue.

To me it looks like an overhang issue as well. Perhaps the aux fan is kicking in?

I just ran a full calibration, which I probably should have done and I will also wipe out the SD card and see if that works. I tried checking out the the settings on my laptop which I have NOT updated the slicer on and everything looks the same. So I am a bit stuck. If this doesn’t work I will try to slice and print it from the laptop which will prove it was the update, but I would love to give the team over at Bambu some actual facts on what could have changed. :frowning:
