Multi-Color Print

I try to provide PAUSE versions of all my models where possible. Around 500 of my 701 (and counting) models are available to you.

Having an AMS opens up so many possibilities, not having one doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy colour.

Look at these, and do NOT feel obligated to print anything, you can see that most models can have PAUSE versions.

Open them in Bambu Studio and you will see how easy it is.

Some of my models use PAUSE to let you add another part before the print continues.

See how this one does it.

Do I manually have to use the cutter the cut the filament, or can I just pull out the filament and feed the new 1?

Unload the old filament, load the new one. All via the printer’s touch screen, as usual.

Do they show when to pause, which layers at which time? I’m confused on how to print multi-colors, like circles, inside a different colored, different shape.

All of my profiles have been set to pause automatically, you do not need to set anything up yourself.

All of the pauses are shown in the description of the model and the specific PAUSE filaments (make sure you are not looking at the AMS profiles).

You can download any profile to Bambu Studio and then use the SLICE button, the PAUSE marks are clearly shown on the LAYER bar’s right side.

Two examples, from two of my models:

  • PAUSE to add the ring to the model printing
  • PAUSE to change filament one to filament two
  • PAUSE to change filament two to filament one again

  • PAUSE to change filament from 1 to 2
  • PAUSE to change filament from 2 to 3
  • PAUSE to change filament from 3 to 4
  • PAUSE to change filament from 4 to 5
  • PAUSE to change filament from 5 to 6
  • PAUSE to change filament from 6 to 7

Do all your models require the beta version of studio? I see some complaints on it so I won’t be updating mine.
