The negative comments seem unwarranted. The set I bought from them didn’t have any issue.
As a precaution voxel did update the design to make it easier to build. Now they have forgone the inserts. Based on my experience, I would still highly recommend them.
Indeed, it can be something very simple for some (and very complex for others).
the bambu’s gcode is a bit different from other machines… but to keep your fans waiting, you could release this 3mf/gcode which allows the machine to restart automatically (without necessarily having to change the platen).
LOTS of small/medium-sized parts can be evacuated with a simple press of the head (provided the tray is hot).
Back in the day, on my old Ender, I managed to get it to print a part at the end of the platen, then push it away and start the gcode from the beginning to reprint the same part…
On an A1/A1mini or even a P1, it must be possible … but I don’t know the subtleties of bambu’s language.
Have a good day
@Zouzou_Factory , there is probably a misunderstanding. There is really absolutely no magic in my gcode sequence. It just a series of G0 and G4 commands. And there is no magic needed to running prints on Bambu printers in sequence. If at all, the “magic” is only in the app which splices files or it repeats.
A while ago I published the gcode-splicer (or GCODE-Mixer) app as open source project on github. You can find the post here.
To use this app you just slice your file, export is as gcode (NOT 3MF !) and load into this app. Then you can set the number of repeats or press the “Add file” if you would like building a printing queue out of multiple different files. In the field below you can add you clearing gcode. This has to be specified by you as a user as all printed parts and printers are different and what works on A1 would not necessary work on P/X1. If you are using it on Bambu printers you will need to use a G4 S1500 or something to make the printer wait until the plate cools down, since the temperature condition like. M190 S35 (wait for 35 degree) doesn’t work reliably for some reason. Maybe it works with M190 R35, but have not tested yet.
Alternatively you can also use the app at https://3d-printomat.de/ mentioned by @koerner.stef . I guess it’s not free, but it seams like there is a part analyzer which generates an optimal clearing gcode. Have not tested yet myself.
Since this is little of topic here I would suggest continue discussion in the automation thread or you can also write ma personal message.
A1 - please read the last paragraph of my initial post. FYI: I’m not involved into this at all.
A1 mini release - I hope to post an announcement by the end of this week. Kickstarter campaign is already in review phase and will probably be approved next days.
Hi @Dill,
Very good work and I see very good quality.
I would be interested to become a distributor for the UK, once released and if you’re interested. Please let me know and we can discuss this.
Take good care,
I would like to be your global distributor. Basically throw your parts in a box (or even a bag) and ship me a 100 of them for each country you want. I will handle the payments, shipping and returns.
You can test our tool for free with the voucher code ‘freefile’ for one file.
Our approach is designed so that only one object is on the print plate at a time. This means that each object can be optimally pushed off the bed after printing, and you have the first part in your hand more quickly. If an error occurs during printing, only the current print object is affected and not the entire print project - this saves material and hassle!
Hi Folks, the Kickstarter campaign was approved and will go live this Sunday 20. October at 12:00 (PM) CET.
Fill free to check out the preview page and set notification if you like.
That was the good news…
Now some less good news: The swapmod kit will not be available in the US at the launch. Currently I’m restricted by legal reasons and cannot sell to US customers. I’d prefer not to go into details here, as I’d rather not risk any potential issues (so please don’t ask). However, I have a plan on how to proceed and I’m already working on a solution for this. I’m very sorry for those who waited for this kit since my very first post here. Believe me, I am quite sad about this too. For now, I would like to suggest that you consider dropping your email in this form (if you have not done so already) and continuing take a look at this thread every now and then to get the most recent updates.
@JonRaymond sorry for bothering you, but I’m wandering if there is a way how I can automatically notify the users who gave a like or thumb-up to the very first post in this thread? Is there some kind of @all function here in the forum?
Technically I can also set each one personally in @ mention, but since it’s not an “elegant way”, I would like to get an OK from your side to not get banned by some anti spam algorithm.
