Dear BambuLab and Community.
I thought about multicolorprinting at “only” 300x320x325mm.
From the beginning:
You can print at 325x320x325mm with one nozzle (no matter if left or right) (external spool holder or ams 2 pro or ams ht).
You can also print multicolor at 300x320x325mm with both nozzles (for just overthinking: 2 ams 2 pro needed - doesn’t really matter)
You can also simply print at 350x320x325mm with both nozzles if you only print one color. (without filament waste)
But here comes the thing…
As we know… we can only print at 300x320x325 with multicolor, because both nozzles can reach every place at the bed. But what if we want to print the full 350x320x325 and don’t care that much about filament waste.
We could take 2ams (1 on each side) and just put the same filaments in both ams’s. So basically both ams’s got the colors “red, blue, white and black” so technically it would be possible (with filament waste of course) to multicolor-print the whole 350mm.
I mean… you don’t have to, but it would be nice to have the option to do so. If you have any better ideas, please use the forum. Thanks guys!
Please share this topic, to make it blew up and maybe BambuLab reacts and fixes that with an software update.
Sorry for reviving this old thread. I’m new to the forums and I can’t seem to create a new topic yet?
Anyways - I’m having an issue using the full bed to create a large print.
I load black PLA in my AMS and black PLA external. It complains about being too far into left nozzle area or right. So then I looked up and it seems that I can paint what filament to use for either side. That seemed like it would have worked - but there is one last problem.
I can’t define what filament to use for supports on the far left nozzle side and far right nozzle side. It seems to only want to use ONE filament for makign supports, and therefore the far left OR far right side of the bed - it once again complains about (because it wants to use right nozzle filament for ALL supports, including those that are on the far left, and it can’t do that).
Help?? I just want to make a large print using the whole bed.
