Multicolorprinting-350x320x325

Dear BambuLab and Community.
I thought about multicolorprinting at “only” 300x320x325mm.

From the beginning:
You can print at 325x320x325mm with one nozzle (no matter if left or right) (external spool holder or ams 2 pro or ams ht).
You can also print multicolor at 300x320x325mm with both nozzles (for just overthinking: 2 ams 2 pro needed - doesn’t really matter)
You can also simply print at 350x320x325mm with both nozzles if you only print one color. (without filament waste)

But here comes the thing…
As we know… we can only print at 300x320x325 with multicolor, because both nozzles can reach every place at the bed.
But what if we want to print the full 350x320x325 and don’t care that much about filament waste.
We could take 2ams (1 on each side) and just put the same filaments in both ams’s. So basically both ams’s got the colors “red, blue, white and black” so technically it would be possible (with filament waste of course) to multicolor-print the whole 350mm.

I mean… you don’t have to, but it would be nice to have the option to do so.
If you have any better ideas, please use the forum. Thanks guys!

Please share this topic, to make it blew up and maybe BambuLab reacts and fixes that with an software update.

You can do this already no?

My understanding is that if both sides have an AMS connected with four identical filaments then the machine can print the full bed size in four color

This has already been mentiomned by various reviewers.

You can do a full width multi colour print (350mm) with duplicate AMS loadings in each side

Is it already possible to print multicolor with 2 or more ams units?
I didn’t know that.

Many of the initial youtube reviewers got the bed coverage capability wrong. One guy (forgot who) actually read the manual and got it right.

The heads and software are quite symmetrical. The one asymmetry may be that the inconvenient TPU/side feeds favors one side.
