One phone and one computer is nice but doesn’t fix the problem. Can´t do anything useful on a mobile. Multiple user is urgently needed
We are logged into two computers and two mobiles, still don’t see the big problem. Just use the same user.
This really needs to happen. Is Bambu Lab working on this at all?
It becomes a problem as soon as the scenario becomes more complex. No issue sharing a single printer in a single household with no external users and/or printers affected. But it starts getting awkward as soon as, besides your private printer at home, you have an additional machine at your workplace. One that is also used by a dozen others. And then maybe the A1 mini your dad-in-law got a while ago and who is still reliant on you assistance every once in a while. And then you have a friend with whom you are co-laborating on some maker projects and who, therefore, needs access to your printer on occasion and vice versa. And so on…
Still, setting up multiple accounts on the printer itself like you would do on a computer would be an over-complex approach. I can easily share my car with anyone who has a Tesla account (either by owning a Tesla product themselves or just creating an account on the spot) and I can have multiple cars of multiple other owners in my own app (allowing me access and driving) – all with a few quick taps in the app, either permanently or just for a short time like for rental cars. Similar approaches are used for countless other products and services, e.g. Netatmo weather stations and cameras, Apple Homes, and so on. This is the required approach. And yes, it is required.
Bambu, drop the BS you are creating right at the moment and get back to listening to your customers!
+1 I also would like to have this feature, so my son and I can print from each account without headache…

I got bit by this yesterday when setting up a new PC for my partner and I. We shared a Bambu account on our previous machine (which only had one user) and were blissfully unaware of this issue. Our new machine is set up so we each have our own user account. After recognizing that Bambu likes to install configuration files into local user directories I had her create her own Bambu account. It didn’t even cross my mind she wouldn’t be able to access our printers until she signed into the phone app with her new account and it asked her to start binding printers… ugh, we should be able to access the printers separately through our own accounts so that we can manage our custom configurations independently.
Our solution currently is to go back to sharing a single account, like before, so we can both access the printers through the app. To make it work with multiple users we’ve disabled cloud syncing through Bambu, which fortunately isn’t much of an issue as our preferred backup method on our PC is using Task Scheduler to run scripts that back up files to Dropbox.
However if Bambu cloud sync gets enabled somehow it’s going to bork something, and at the end of the day this workaround feels unnecessary.
+1 really could use this feature.
Should really be set to have a machine bound to a primary admin account and be able to authorize users for it / set permissions.
Another vote here. We got one for christmas and hubby set it up first. I had no idea it would bind to him and I wouldn’t be able to use it at all. This is our third printer. If I had known this ahead of time, I would have NOT bought this!!
Agree. Just E letter in the name toesnt make it a enterprise solution.
I want to print my stuff on my account while my kid prints using his account, this limitation is very frustrating and obviously were are not gonna get a second printer just to make use of different accounts, if that is the intention behind it.
+1 I think this would be great for print farms.
I don’t think Bambu Labs understand how much of an epic failure this is. A potential large sector of buyers would be schools, but if they can’t share them, then they are useless.
Our school has several Bambu Lab printers, they just have to post the user name and password unsecurely for everyone to be able to use them…
This is one part of this brilliant printer that is missing. Please allow for multiple accounts to use the one printer.
I have 3 Bambu printers but can only link 2 at a time. is there a fix for this?
Same +1 for this multiple accounts beign able to operate the printer remotely
+1 I agree, could really use this we share the printer with the family
+1 How is this not a thing?

Using only a phone and pre-sliced makerworld models for starting the print is very convenient, but using only one account for that is not much. Printers are absolutely capable to provide fast printing for several people, so adding ability to use printer by other, approved by owner, users will be much appreciated.
@BambuLab please implement this feature
