Ok so first off, its been month since i turned on my m2d, i didn’t have any time to print and was tired trying to figure out why somehow my print are now horrible.
But…because why not, it seem my AMS-HT motherboard died on its own and without having it on.
That doesnt inspire confidence for a 2700 euros machine.
Have you tired disconnecting the serial cable at the back and then reconnecting it to be sure it’s fully locked and connected? I see it’s on the top and maybe thru vibrations or movement the cable has lost connection…
Edit to add, you may also need to power off/on your printer as well.
Did all that you suggest already before writting the post, even waited 10 sec to be sure all the power was out before turning it back on.
Again the strange part being i have not printed for few months, the printer was off along with both ams.
The qr code give a link saying i have to open it up to check any disconection between the motherboard and cable, but i am sure this won’t do anything, i was working fine before and it just stopped, so i would think the mb go fried for unknow reasons, but why ? I live in paris, all the circuit of my appartement are new from 2013, and we don’t get power surge, it would be a first for me to have something that fry while being OFF.
i don’t know about you but i don’t think its a good sign when you don’t use a product for few week you discover you have to open it up to check the wiring inside and find out if you have to reconnect stuff.
If the issue persists after reconnecting the cable, it may be due to a damaged cable. Replace the cable connecting the motor and the mainboard.
If the problem remains unresolved after replacing the cable, the motor itself may be faulty, possibly due to damaged coils. Replace the motor.
If the issue continues after replacing the motor, it may be caused by a faulty AMS HT mainboard, which will need to be replaced.
If your AMS 2 Pro is still under warranty, please contact our after-sales support team for further assistance after attempting the above troubleshooting steps.
sure i got a spare motor and an extra motherboard just in case my new 3d printer break, anyone got one of those just in case, what is next ? replace the whole assembly of the printer, if it doesn’t work call the factory in china for help, then and only then contact the after-sales support team.
anyway, open it up, didn’t see anything, all cable are connected, no burned cable and still got that message when i power it on
No need to be pissy … Yeah, it is frustrating. I had my fair share of frustration from AMS HT leaking air out…
If there is no external damage, bent connectors, loose connectors, and if you still under warranty - create a support request to replace AMS HT.
And no, it shouldn’t die. My AMSs (multiple AMS) and AMS HT were standing idle sometimes for a month with no activity and nothing happened to them.
Defects are defects, unfortunately you can’t do a thing about it. I wish BL would you a better quality components (it’s not a news for anyone here, btw).
mine was not iddle, no power because no need to print, the printer and my 3 ams are in my living room, and the other ams ( AMS 2) works fine, so its not corrosion or humidity issue either
You’re making a lot of noise over something that can be either fixed by opening it up or simply putting in a ticket. Come off as someone setting up a case for getting something free or just trolling. Maybe take the time to help yourself before making another post
I had the door sensor unplug on my H2D out of nowhere. Sometimes things dont get “locked” and heat/cool cycles will back the out. It clearly happened after a high temp print the night before.
I wouldn’t write it off as fried, it could very well have not locked or backed out.
i come as someone who is frustrated, the reason why i got a bambu its to have a product that doesn’t require tweak, plug it and it work, so understand my frustration when no using it for few months, in an environnement that is not damp or too hot and having a product that give you an error message is frustrating.
i opened it up, check all the connection inside, even the cog and everything seem fine, so the issue might be the feeder motor because it doesn’t start even when i feed it or something else got broken/fried for not being used, that being said you can see the picture i took of the cog and see the design of it, it look like its compress by design, so i hope its not the same thing in the motor.
i don’t want something free, i just want my product which i used my hard money to buy to just work, that is it, you wouldn’t see me here if that was the case, and its the same thing for every one, complaining is a hassle, i don’t do it because i like it, i do it because i have no choice since the error code is no precise enough to tell me what is wrong or the link it give to resolve the issue just list everything possible, that is not an error code, an error code should tell you precisly what is wrong with something.
i did a ticket and now i wait with the frustration to have the tech tell me what to do, and in the mean time i can’t print.
yes i do get that, but the AMS-HT is not like the printer, it doesn’t heat that much that component could warp in it, and again it was woking fine(ish) before i turn it off, so no reason to have issue
I do understand your frustration. I don’t understand post after post. Looks more like a temper tantrum than relieving frustration.
Ok. Now you’ve got a better idea of what’s wrong.
So you can print. Best of my knowledge the H2 series has an external spool holder.
Breathe. Support is going to drive you more crazy because they will ask questions you have already answered. They will ask for pictures. Even if the pic doesn’t show what’s going on they will want it.
THEY HAVE TO DO THIS. If you reply with frustration it will take that much longer to get it fixed. They will fix it. Really, may have to go back and forth a few times but they’ll send you whatever you need.
Yeah, sorry about that. I’ve felt just as helpless at times and have felt just as aggravated. The error code system sucks, I agree. Really would like a simpler solution to that.
So, breathe, and know it’ll get fixed.
