I went on vacation, and when i came back and powered up my P1S, the screen is blank. I tried unplugging the cords to the AMS, and powering back up… but no luck.
Any advice out there?
Also, my AMS is showing up on the Prepare screen, and the filaments dont show up on the Device screen.
Maybe I need to do a reset on the firmware?
I think the problem is that the PS1 screen is not talking to the wifi to get to the Bambu network…where all my presets are, and therefore its not being seen by the Bambu Studio… Thats the only thing that seems to be in common with all my current problems… no screen… AMS wont talk…Device… doesnt show AMS filaments… Am i barking up the wrong tree?
You mentioned trying and the AMS, so I didnt understand what you did.
Check the screen connectors and, if necessary, unplug and plug again.
This may help:
Thanks.JayZay. i did remove the screen, unpluged, and repluged. Same results. I wonder how the screen just up and died.
Also the AMS is not being found. So i unplugged and replugged the wires to the AMS…
Just not making sense.
Seems like some wire in a cable needs to be cleaned …maybe?
JonRaymond… Its back this morning. I reloaded the last update. turned the printer off last night… and now this morning, i was going to try your thought…(although, i did remove the sd card once during my troubleshooting). So, this morning, the printer screen is up again. Hurraaahh…
Thanks everyone…
I’ve had my screen go out twice now. Turning off printer and back on brings it back to life. After my last abs print, I started a second print and noticed it wouldn’t come on, so I cancelled print and cycled power to get it back.
mine does this often, from the time i got the printer at times when turning it on it would take several minute b4 the screen would display anything, it would light up but nothing shows up until a few minutes, at first i would turn it back off an back on an it would turn back on like normal. i have 2 p1s an it only happens on my older one. it does it pretty much everytime i turn it off an back on now and when left idle for a while it will not start prints from bambu studio handy app from the original screen going to the sd card an selecting the file or from the panda touch, it has to be turned off an back on an its got where the screen is delayed on pretty much every start up now so i have no clue what the issue is but at someone point i expect its going to cost me a big chunk to replace whatever ends up going bad, main control board or display its self not sure what it is, but as long as the screen is not displaying anything its not showing its connecting to any of the software i use so i dont think its in the display or connection but is related to the actual control board. not sure, but its not an issue with the 2nd p1s i got, only difference is the ams on the first one, and i do have to restart the 2nd from time to time to get it to launch files just like the other but its display has always came on when turning the printer on, never just lights up without displaying anything. id love to know what causes it cause ive been dealing with it from day one of my first bambu printer and ive never been able to find an answer.
