He discovered SOLDIWORKS Apps for Kids and is now modeling and printing on his own.
This is what I found on the printer yesterday morning.
He is 11…
I think it is time to show him SOLIDWORKS and xDesign.
Also, how to use the AMS.

Superb a father & son joint interest where you aren’t shouting at him for not doing something with a ball in front of his friends.
I’ve seen movies, that is how families work, right? I don’t have one of my own, TV is my knowledge base for such things.
An eager child should also be told about poop and how cool colours add more poop and time.
The last thing you need is the modern equivalent of a child drawing on the wall with crayons by emptying you of all your prized filament.
My son has been trying to design “BeyBlades” in TinkerCAD.
I will have to check out SOLIDWORKS for Kids. Maybe he would like that better.
Right you are!
One thing that is clear is BambuLab made printing so easy, even a kid can do it! He watched me setting the printer a few times and that was all…
Oh, and I installed the Bambu Studio on his laptop, but I did not show him too much about how to use it. Apparently the Wiki and this forum are enough for someone to learn enough for a first print.
That is awesome!!! I’m a little envious too. I wish this hobby were around when my kids were that age. What a great way to teach mechanical engineering and creative skills all at once.
Great story. Thanks for sharing.
