Mystery Arrow in Slicer Preview

Am working on new shades for a light fixture.

Used Make My Vase to create the main shape and exported .stl file.

Imported into Solid Edge and added a base piece. Then exported the .stl file.

Imported the .stl file into Bambu Slicer and sliced in Vase Mode (spiral vase).

In the preview, I got the arrow shown and one piece of stringing in the preview.

Has anyone see this arrow before, and what does it mean?

The arrow is your “nozzle”. If you move the bottom slider around, it will show the travel path of the nozzle which looks like that “arrow”. Not sure what that line/strong is. Almost looks like a travel movement, but not sure since the color is different.

Thanks, RK. With all of the prints I have made, I have never noticed the nozzle.

I backed up all the way to the .stl file from “Make My Vase” and the stringing at the top appeared there also, so I did not introduce anything new from adding more to the part in Solid Edge.

Interestingly, I tried a “repair” on the .stl file and got two instances of stringing at the top.

Then I tried the FormWare online repair tool and got 3 strings along the top.

The strings do print as they show, but fortunately, they are an easy to remove.

The other thing I ran into on this part was I wanted a color change near the top. I was surprised that was grayed out in vase mode. Could put a pause in, though, and will change manually.
