I noticed that in certain moments, for example when the first layer finishes and it goes to purge, when it cleans it does not go sideways enough and the lever remains under the plastic of the tool head, and when it moves forward it makes a bad noise…. I think it would be better if he moved more sideways so that it comes out the back, before moving forward… what do you think? I put a video… you can’t see or hear the noise well, but you understand what I mean
Mine does this also. As you say, I’m pretty sure it’s every time it finishes the first layer and returns to the chute during first layer inspection. Is your L shaped purge line at the back of the build plate right on the edge? Mine is, I wonder if home is off just enough that it’s too far back when it returns to the chute at this step. It does not make the noise during initial purge nor during filament color change purges.
yes it is quite close to the edge… i think it is the same as i see it on bambulab
I never thought to check the slicer to see where that line is. Checked just now and it sits just inside the last grid line in the slicer, almost 1-1/2 times it’s width from the edge. It’s literally on the edge in the printer, I can just snag it with a fingernail.
Mine is even closer to the edge than that. The issue must be in the gcode. I remember seeing someone else mention the noise so it’s not isolated to the two of us. I do cringe each time I hear it and I can hear it from the dining room almost 30’ away. At least it’s only once per print in my case.
strange that nobody answered here though… how can you tell bambulab to change the 1 layer post-check purge procedure?
