"Hi everyone,
I’m currently building my own drybox setup. I have 2 meters of non-transparent PTFE tubing, 16 bearings, and PC4-M10 connectors. Everything is going well so far, but I’ve hit a roadblock with the filament loading process.
I’m using a P1S (no AMS) and I want to use a 4-way splitter. My main concern is how to manually load and unload the filament without opening the drybox every time. Since my PTFE tubes are not transparent, I can’t see the filament tip.
Should I cut the PTFE tube between the drybox and the splitter and leave about 2-3 cm of filament exposed to act as a ‘handle’? My concern with this is: will moisture enter the drybox through the open ends of the PTFE?
What is the best way to handle this manual swap without compromising the drybox’s humidity levels? I hope I explained my situation clearly. Any advice or model recommendations (like a manual access port) would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!"
