Need help with my first multicolor AMS print

Hello everyone ! I just got my P1S with AMS and i’m really impressed by this machine. I decided to try printing my first multi colored print, used pretty much all the default settings for 0.4 nozzle at 0.16mm HQ. Only thing i changed was adding “Flush into objects infill” and flushing volume at 0.60. The print failed at a certain point because it seems like the nozzle started making blobs and clogging.
I’m using Elegoo PLA+ black, white, red and yellow filament. I set 0.02 for the dynamic flow.

Printer model used: P1S with AMS

Here’s the video, image and .3mf of the print; https://youtu.be/14u4gdDpIEM

Anyone can help me with this? I was able to print a poop chute and benchy with the 1 color (black) properly but multicolor seems to have an issue that i dunno what it could be.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

I’m at work so I don’t have access to Bambu Studio (or open your .3mf) but I still might be able to help. What temp are you printing at?

If you review the video, your poop chute filled up, this affected the hot-end on its route back to the print with what appears to be some additional material melted onto the tip from the available material in the blocked chute.

You also had multiple poops on the print bed.

The first thing you need to do is clear the blockage, and confirm it doesn’t occur again.

You said you printed a poop chute, if you are using it, something is stopping the waste material from falling into the chute.

A blocked chute can cause damage to the hot-end, the hot-end assembly and the printer itself.

Your choice to “flush into objects infill” was not the cause.

When i checked this morning, the poop wasn’t blocked by the poop chute but by a metal bar with a flap on it in the printer. The blob didn’t even reach below that bar with a flap on it.

I was printing at 220c. The default for Generic PLA.

That temp is good. I think Malc is correct (as usual). If you watch the vid at the time the layer shift happened (the one right below the cats ears) it looks like the chute is overflowing. Sometimes filament will get stuck and not go down the chute and then end up clearing itself later when the print head hits the nozzle wiper. I think if you clear everything out and try again it should work.
