Need help with P1S (no AMS) error "Failed to get AMS mapping table"

Hello, I’m getting a persistent error on my new P1S. No AMS installed on the printer. Error reads “failed to get AMS mapping table.” Ive printed the file successfully about a dozen times, but twice now the print has stopped, Ive gotten this error message and a prompt to retry. I press retry, the printer doesn’t start again and I get the error again immediately. No amount of retrying restarts the print and I end up having to cancel and restart the print.

On the final screen before you sent the print was “enable AMS” checked?

that option doesn’t exist when I send the print to the printer.

Just double checking. I’m trying to figure out what would make the printer think an AMS was attached. What does the “device” screen" look like in Bambu Studio? Have you tried turning the actual printer off and back on?

Yes, I’ve turned the printer on and off. The error still appears after I cycle the power and try to restart the print. I’ve also uninstalled and reinstalled Bambu Studio.

attached is a picture of the device screen in bambu studio.

This is a tough one. On the Bambu Studio end it looks like it knows there isn’t an AMS attached. But after the print starts it thinks it does. I know this sounds like a long shot but do you have a spare SD card you could swap out with the one in the printer?

I don’t have an extra SD card. I can buy one though. is there a product you would recommend? or are they all kind of the same?

I normally try to get a SanDisk or Samsung. It’s not a huge deal, I just feel they have a better lifespan. It needs to be formatted in FAT32 and letting the printer format it is normally the easiest.

Perhaps try a factory reset as that often cures the oddest of problems.
