I’ve been printing without any problems what so ever with my X1C for a while but today this happened and I’m not sure where to start looking to find a fix.
I was about half way through this print and noticed things weren’t going well so I cancelled it.
Just a guess, looking at the first photo it seems like may a partial clog and it stopped extruding properly in the middle. But seeing the second photo I feel adhesion issue could also part a part. Which build plate are you using?
First of all thanks for the help as I’m pretty new to this.
I’m using the cool plate with a nano polymer adhesive as I found this to work better than the glue stick as nothing really lets go until the plate has cooled down completely. But I’ll keep this in mind
I might try swapping the hotend as it did come with a spare one and see if that fixes the problem. I take it that if the head is clogged it can be cleaned.
Also I have been doing some reading on printing with carbon fibre and the .04 hotend and maybe I should use a .06 instead to reduce the chance of the head clogging.
Yes try changing the nozzle and cleaning the plate. I am not familier with the cool plate since I use a textered PEI plate on the X1C and the supertack on the A1 mini.
With carbon filled filaments they do recommed 0.6mm nozzle, so may be first try the yellow PLA with the new nozzle if it works then you can be pretty sure its a nozzle issue or something with that CF filament
