Network Plugin not compatible with macOS 27 Beta

Under macOS 27 the Network Plugin appears to not work. BambuStudio wants me to install it constantly. It downloads and appears to install but nothing happens.

Just to let you know…not expecting everything to work since it’s a beta

I checked the Bambu Studio GitHub issue tracker, and found this:

One of the Bambu Lab devs replied and says they’re checking it out. It appears you can roll back to an older version of Bambu Studio and it will work.

@Bratling did they say what version to roll back to? I tried a couple versions but none of them have worked for me.

ugh, I downloaded the 27 Beta and was thinking that was my issue, thanks for confirming

2.06.00.51 is the version I rolled back to. I just uninstalled 2.07 and emptied the trash, then installed that version. I was able to install the network plugin without any issues and get back up and running on my Mac.

Right click the Bambu app, select Get Info and check Open using Rosetta.

Golden Gate Beta 2 does NOT fix this; I will continue to use the Rosetta workaround.

The issue is on Bambu’s side with the network plugin itself. The plugin needs to be updated for ARM64 support, which is why the Rosetta workaround allows the x86 version to run.

This was reported Jun 8th. It is well into August now - is there an ETA? The workaround is a performance pain and is flaky when running multiple copies pointed at different printers so I’d really like to get back to native versions.

It may be a pain, but – and I feel bad saying this – but this is the kind of thing you sign up for when you run beta software, especially a beta operating system. If this is still a problem with the final release of macOS 27, then it’s a problem. But so far, it’s just compatibility notes from beta testers.

I now have the release version of macOS27 and the Network Plugin does not work. They need to fix this quickly.
