New A1 - Extruder eddy current sensor signal abnormal

I fired up my new A1 (second unit) today, went through the network setup, connected to Bambu Handy, and initiated the first-time calibration. As soon as the z-axis approached the top, the machine made a couple of popping noises and stopped, giving me the “Calibration failed” and then on the next page, “Z axis homing failed; the task has been stopped. [0300-40000 260310]”. The second possible issue was the extruder eddy current sensor error. See the attached picture. I have rechecked the hotend connections under the printer and all are tight and properly connected. I even re-seated the usb-c cable to make sure. I checked the connections in the back of the hotend; both were tight, and with an ohmmeter, checked a little over 3 ohms. I have a support ticket in. I just wanted to check and see if I missed anything. Any help is appreciated.

I actually had a pretty nice experience with Bambu support with this issue. I went through all the troubleshooting suggestions they offered, unfortunately with no success. Although throughout the process, Bambu support was responsive and after going through the information I sent and the error logs, determined that they believe the USB cable is faulty and are sending me a free one. I for one am pleased and will update this thread once I get the cable installed.

did it work? i just got an a1 today and have this exact same issue

The replacement USB cable fixed the issue completely. I sent them multiple pictures of the USB connection on the bottom along with the other connections. I also sent them the error logs, which helped to determine the cable issue. I hope your fix goes as smoothly!
