I got a new AMS HT a few days ago and started using it yesterday. This morning I woke up to filament dust everywhere. Is that normal? I’ve seen complaints about similar issues with the AMS 2, but nothing about the HT.
Not normal, there’s either an issue with the AMS unit itself or your PTFE feed path is causing abnormally high resistance, which would cause the filament drive gears to slip and grind.
Remove and reinstall the PTFE path. Make sure all ends are cut square, the ends aren’t collapsed, make sure they’re fully inserted into the AMS unit and the printer, and there are no tight bends or kinks.
