New Bambu Lab X1 Series Firmware Released!

:frowning:
I’m sorry for your loss!

:frowning_with_open_mouth: Here we go i updated to the latest firmware , :frowning:
had to do factory reset , calibration - habit
power off , power on - fixed access to the SD card very strange and Camera access

Currently still experiencing some unexplained issues like bed adhesion suspected Z offset, unexplained PA values from the print look, the flow looks ok , i have not had a real problems for months, well since the last FW upgrade , May have to do a new Factory reset as not quite sure for the first one , as i did not see restart after the upgrade , and after that needed to do a Power Cycle so to Have access to SD card and Camera

Should have waited a few more experts to do it first. If it works don’t touch

When tested, the factory reset wiped out all my filament calibration settings.
I am unsure if it is identically in all firmware versions.

Everything works on the Latest firmware for me now no more issues and Orca and Bambu slicer everything update to the latest greatest. i used the following steps until working

  • Had to do a factory reset and machine calibration from the initial setup procedure
  • had to do power off/ON SD or camera were not working after the above
  • Some issues extrusion issues resolved after second Factory reset and repeated the above procedure do not understand why, but i did extra calibration from BS ( that may have been PEBKAC issues and 20 hour no sleep)

I suggest the following to be used may be a bit cleaner and hopefully with out issues

  1. Upgrade
  2. power Off the X1C after sure that upgrade is finished
  3. Powe on
    4 Factory reset
  4. Initial setup procedure with machine calibration ( have the handy app handy )
  5. Optional i think is not needed but One more calibration from the menu either BS step 5 should have been enough

Yes any thing stored in the printer will be wiped. So who ever is using PA Bambu way calibration Good Luck
in the mean time the Prusa printer printed 2 rubber tubes and a few PETG parts

There is a new bug that I discovered that I am not sure if it was around for a bit or it just happened with the new update.

When printing multiple objects as a multicolor print, if you have to cancel an object because it fails but you want the other 2 to keep going, whatever color is loaded in the AMS and printing at that time will stay there for the rest of the print. It’s as if it turns off the color swapping once you’ve cancelled an object. This has happened twice to me now.

Just installed it on all of our X1Cs and they run pretty quite now. We just moved them out of the main office room because they were unbearable now I started to miss them

Do we need to reset after upgrading?

Doing a reset after a firmware upgrade appears to be a common recommendation - especially if having problems after an update - probably to ensure any changes to the “default” settings/calibrations are applied. I run an A1, and haven’t done it myself yet though… :person_shrugging:

What does this mean for skew compensation that has been saved to the printer?
