I got the printer on Sunday. It was on for 2 days, part time printing, part time sleeping.
This morning was the first time I shut it down via main power switch.
Now, evening time, I switch it on and it’s stuck on the boot logo screen for 15 minutes…
What troubleshooting steps have you performed?
power cycle and now SD card.
it seams the sd card reader is bad becausing it’s ruining my cards and it cannot format them.
cards that I know to be new and good.
i load them on my pc to format them to fat32, but windows can’t format them anymore…
Had a similar issue with USB drives being destroyed after being removed from a specific PC. If I recall, we ended up just trashing the PC.
So, are you saying the printer is booting up if you don’t have a SD inserted or does it still not boot up completely?
EDIT: My tech guy just told me that you should try Glary Utilities (free version). He uses it when he has issues and it works “most” of the time.
Try formatting your sd card Fat32 with this windows program if this don’t work try another sd card.
Your X1 might have been doing the new firmware update 1.5 it will hang at the splash screen but should of booted after 15 min at the logo screen.
Might also want to check the cable connection for the screen
For formatting SD Cards, use the official tool from the SD Association (who specify the SD standards). Its the best tool u can get for that job and its small an free.
For me removing the SD card before booting the printer helped. I will try a new 64GB SD card formatted in the printer today.
My printer did the exact same thing, I finally realized that the memory card was the problem. I removed the card, rebooted the machine and it’s working fine now.
I forgot to update: replaced the memory card with a different one from a well known vendor - had no boot issues anymore after that.
I’ve removed and replaced the SD card and mine is still broken. Does anyone have a fix?
My X1C won’t boot up. The light doesn’t even come on. It made a terrible noise after finishing a 17.5hr print and then it died. The logo comes on for a bit then goes away and comes back etc. That’s it. 300hrs on the machine.
