It strips all the plates including plate names and all filament sets (e.g.colors) once OK is confirmed. Note this project was done with the prior version of Bambu studio and loaded fine in the new BS and I then just took a copy of that same project loaded it in Orca and saved it without any modifications done to it.
I doubt that Bambu is changing anything with the intent to cause problems for OrcaSlicer. After all, Bambu Studio has benefitted from new features that were developed by Softfever and Bambu thanked Softfever for the work.
I think the open source code that Orca 2.0.0 is built on came from Studio 1.7, not the more recent 1.8.
In time, I expect OrcaSlicer to “catch up” in this respect, and Studio to “catch up” in others. There will probably also be areas where they each go in different directions.
Project compatibility between slicers is convenient, but I don’t think it is a design goal for either group of developers.
I am not sure if it is related, but I suddenly can no longer pull/drag a .stl file on to the build plate on the prepare tab using OS 2.0.0
I have not experienced this behavior before. I had to load the STLs from the Add menu option.
Anyone else have this issue?
Drag-n-drop .stl, .step and .3mf to Orca 2.0.0 all work as expected.
Dragging a .stl out of a .zip file treated as a folder by Windows Explorer does not work (never has for me). Opening the .zip in WinRAR and dragging from there does work.
