New Computer: BS will not see printer

I recently got a new Windows 11 computer to replace the slower Windows 11 computer I had been using. On the older computer, I was using Bambu Studio wirelessly for all my jobs. But when I put the new computer on, it will not see the printer. The printer is bound to my account, and is found by Bambu Handy on my Android phone.

I have tried re-installing BS, setting my P1S with AMS unit to factory & starting the installation process all over, tried adding the printer in BS by Bind with Pin Code (nearly impossible to find) and by Bind with Access Code using IP and Access Code taken from the printer screen itself, have gone through everything I could find in the online manual (not to say I haven’t missed something important, but if so, I haven’t found it) and am now at a complete loss as to what to do.

HELP!!!

Are you signed into your Bambu account in BS?

Here’s the solution to the problem: unbinding the printer from BS installed on the old computer & then binding the printer to BS on the new computer. Here’s the info I received in its entirety for anyone who encounters the same problem:

To resolve the issue where Bambu Studio (BS) is not recognizing your P1S printer with AMS on your new Windows 11 computer, and you are encountering a “printer has already been bound” message, please follow these steps:
1. Unbind the Printer: First, ensure that the printer is unbound from the previous instance of Bambu Studio on your old computer. You can do this by logging into Bambu Studio on your old computer (if accessible) and unbinding the printer from there.
2. Log Out from Bambu Studio on Old Computer: If you still have access to your old computer, log out from Bambu Studio on that device.
3. Check Printer Status on New Computer:
- Open Bambu Studio on your new computer.
- Go to the system settings menu and select ‘Account Configuration’.
- Try to bind the printer again by scanning the QR code with Bambu Handy or manually entering the printer’s details.
4. Reset Printer Network Settings:
- On the printer, navigate to the network settings and reset them. This might help in removing any previous bindings that are causing conflicts.
5. Rebind Printer:
- Use Bambu Handy to scan the QR code displayed on the printer’s screen to initiate the binding process.
- Ensure Bluetooth is turned on if required and follow the prompts to complete the binding process.
6. Check Network Configuration:
- Ensure that both your printer and your new computer are on the same network.
- Verify that there are no network restrictions or firewall settings on your new computer that might be blocking the connection.
7. Update Bambu Studio:
- Ensure that you are using the latest version of Bambu Studio. Check for any updates and install them.
8. Contact Support:
- If after following these steps, Bambu Studio still does not recognize your printer, it may be helpful to contact Bambu Lab’s customer support for further assistance. They can provide more detailed guidance specific to your situation.
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue and get Bambu Studio to recognize your P1S printer with AMS on your new computer.

Yes I am. Logged off & on so many times my fingers have blisters.

And what does one do when one doesn’t have access to the old computer?

…jump straight to #8 would be my guess… or a factory reset

Edit, I have a suspicion that reset may not help since it is associated with your login but I am not sure.
