I recently got a new Windows 11 computer to replace the slower Windows 11 computer I had been using. On the older computer, I was using Bambu Studio wirelessly for all my jobs. But when I put the new computer on, it will not see the printer. The printer is bound to my account, and is found by Bambu Handy on my Android phone.
I have tried re-installing BS, setting my P1S with AMS unit to factory & starting the installation process all over, tried adding the printer in BS by Bind with Pin Code (nearly impossible to find) and by Bind with Access Code using IP and Access Code taken from the printer screen itself, have gone through everything I could find in the online manual (not to say I haven’t missed something important, but if so, I haven’t found it) and am now at a complete loss as to what to do.
Here’s the solution to the problem: unbinding the printer from BS installed on the old computer & then binding the printer to BS on the new computer. Here’s the info I received in its entirety for anyone who encounters the same problem:

I have the same issue but no longer have access to the previous computer. I am surprised to learn that I cant just add a new computer to my account… My old computer is toast, how do I get my existing printer to hook up to bambu studio on the new computer?
These older printers are not 5.8ghz compatible and blow chunks when you are sharing an SSID with your 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz (how most networks are setup.)
Solution is to go into the router and disable the 5.8ghz band temporarily.
Printer should then bind, see and connect to everything. Once that’s done you can re-enable the 5.8ghz and roll on.
I just had to do this again the other day when my X1Cs were displaying a login error.
I unjoined them, used the qr code to rebind them, entered the network pwd and it failed. Disabled 5.8ghz and tried again and it went perfectly. Then did the same on X1C #2 and it went perfectly too. finally reenabled 5.8ghz.
thanks, i’ll try this. When you were having connectivity issues, what did bambu studio look like? I just downloaded it onto a brand new computer. When I log in I see my account collections, but none of the filament presets show up (perhaps those are tied to the printer) and of course the printer doesnt show up. If i click on the devices tab it just shows an unhelpful video, and on the prepare tab, up by the “printer” section, my only options are:
–Select/remove printers(system presets)–
–Create Printer–
If I select Bambu X1C, and confirm, nothing happens. Its been a couple years since I first connected with the old laptop but I expected a network browse feature, or better yet to just have my device ready to go on the profile that I literally logged into (frankly makes no sense to bind to individual computers when you have an account on the app.)
