How does it compare to esun pla-st?
Esun, elegoo and deeply all look the same, even the spools are alike.
Deeplee is Elegoo, but I haven’t seen anything to suggest any Elegoo is made by Esun. Guess I’ll need to take a look and find out, but I think I’m slightly more predisposed to saying it isn’t sight unseen.
I love the smell of PLA in the morning!
Interested in hearing how it compares to PETG, how it handles sunlight etc.
Just took a quick look at eSun PLA-st. Interesting. It has the same 3 features that Bambu PLA Tough has, including the claim of withstanding repeat bending.
In addition, It specifically claims to have resistance to light aging. The printing temp is 200-230, lower than that of Bambu PLA Tough.
Maybe someone can put the strength numbers side-by-side to make the comparison more data-driven. I probably will use Bambu PLA Tough as a regular source unless eSun PLA-st is significantly better, but it’s good to know alternatives out there.
I would still like to see an internationally accredited MSDS for this material. What’s in the odor? It really sits unwell with me to have a PLA that requires atmospheric ventilation, as it breaks the common safety mantra of “PLA is ok in human spaces”
And black sold out before the offer ended! shame ![]()
Last year I bought Pla Tough when it became discontinued. I really liked it, even regretted not buying more when I had the chance. The finish appeared smoother matte finish and I didn’t notice the layer lines as much. Interesting to see they brought it back as Tough+
Don’t hold your breath its any better than PLA+, else they would have used that as a selling point in the advertising.
