I agree with the will power! 
Being around computers for a long time and experiencing catastrophic problems from firmware updates on computers, mobile phones, misc other hardware devices, I will always review the notes and then wait to see how it rolls out if… I love new features and changes, but will always wait them out unless I am in a position its the only thing to get something operational. I have the mindset, if it isnt broke (everything i need or am using works just fine) then there is no urgent need to update and I can wait. Especially if its a firmware/update that can render something inoperable. The good news is, at least BL has the ability to roll back as long as you can get to that point.
The firmware won’t effect how an item adheres to the plate. To me it looks like you printed and a draft was present or the bed wasn’t clean or possibly fans on to high. I updated myself and zero issues even with abs and nylon which is known for warping. Check your bed temp is adequate also irregardless if it printed before. When was the last time you preformed maintenance on the printer?
I am not convinced the new firmware broke stuff.

What setting is it on monotonic line?
Also the developers do have quiet a lot of work in case they are looking for something to do
There is lots of suggestions that needs to go into the dev of the product via firmware.
So i dont think justifying time is a problem here.
The product is far from perfect
- Favourite profile tab would be useful
- Lots of abilities i bliv in prusa app that should come over to bambu
- Library settings for most popular spools should be made available within the app so we dont have to mess around with temperature settings for nozle and bed
4 i have written to them and offered to give them the logic that would help improved the wastage when printing multi colour without redesigning the hardware, but no response - Etc
As long as it fixes the other issues introduced in the previous update I’ll be happy. Since last update I can’t print 2 different things within restarting the printer, it often hang after loading/unloading (printer stays busy in Bambu studio) rear spool.
It’s been pretty annoying!
I updated the firmware on my X1C. All prints so far have been good.
Pic shows a two part fairly large print in progress. PETG with PLA support interface layers. There is a slight layer shift at the 24 mm layer, but I have often seen this in the past.
Note that I do slow down the PETG and ASA max vol speed a lot since the stock settings create very poor layer adhesion. My parts are functional in the ocean so part strength wins over print speed for me.
Since I updated to the new firmware- I have had zero prints work. I didn’t have any issues before the update! Very frustrating 
Update to the very last firmware, restart printer,
calibrate, restart printer,
worked for me…
I followed similar steps to @tweety55 I update, after it reboots itself, i power off, unplug for 15 seconds. turn on, calibrate and so far that has been working for me.
This is a bit of tangent here, but what settings to you use for this?
