Forgive me if this is a duplicate post, but I just noticed this new behavior on the Bambu Lab U.S. store when buying some filament with gift cards, there’s now a (+) button next to gift cards and coupons on the check out page, and clicking it on gift cards, shows… a small selection of your available gift cards from MakerWorld. This was eye opening but limited. First - it showed me gift cards I hadn’t used from 2024, which was AWESOME, it showed the codes and other info, with checkboxes to the right of each in a small modal popup. BUT it only showed a handful of codes, so I still had to go and copy paste codes to cover my filament purchase. Seems almost there, not sure why the limitation on quantity it shows, but it’s both VERY awesome for showing me cards I accidentally skipped, and very convenience for smaller purchases. Anyone else have any insights? or is there any documentation about it?
This is great. The integration of gift cards into the checkout process has been requested (at least by me) for a long while.
There shouldn’t be a limitation of the number of gift cards shown. It could be that they are still working on it. I haven’t seen any announcement yet.
Another feature that I requested was the showing of total dollar amount of the gift cards so users don’t have to scroll through them and do manual calculations. Hope that also gets implemented while MW is at it.
In Bambu Store → Account Center you can check your “assets”.
In my case, all my coupons are listed correctly, but only half of the Gift Cards do.
But the not listed gift cards work as expected on the payment page.
Several months ago when they did the thing to bind them to an account once you input it in the store, they also bound all existing ones to my account. New redemptions after that point have not been automatically bound to my account however. That seems to line up for my situation at least - its only showing cards that have been bound to my account while I have many more available.
Interesting. My $40 GC didn’t show up but it was accepted when I explicitly pasted in the code. This was the first time I’ve had enough points to claim a gift card and it was almost exactly a year after I first got the printer (Christmas present from my wife in 2024). I’m quite impressed to see that they are actually achievable just through normal behaviour - I haven’t made huge numbers of models or had huge downloads from anything going viral, I haven’t been pimping them all over the place - just made a handful of things that were useful to me and got a few downloads and boosts from regular users. Admittedly about 1/3rd of the required 490 points came from one-off things that can’t be repeated, like the training courses, but still, it was nice to see that the reward system is legit, which bodes well for the future. I recently bought some marble PLA for my wife (who asked for it by name) so I spent the $40 on a hardened steel hotend so that the marble PLA wouldn’t excessively wear down the standard one that came with the machine.
