What do you think about this feature?
Honestly, i was positively surprised when i found out i can use my own filament preset for the pre-sliced files. It seems that the file is not pre sliced at all if i can apply my custom presets.
What are your thoughts on this feature?
Given that,it means Makerworld could really beat the competition for us Bambu owners, especially for newcomers. Having a pre-sliced(?) file tuned by professionals auto-imported in Bambu Studio (or ready to be printed directly on the app), could potentially solve a lot of hassle. The only thing an user should be required to do is to tune the filament presets, ONLY if they choose not to buy bambu filament.
But what about the non-bambu owners? There are rumors that the Sept 20th announcement could be something regarding AMS compatibility for other printers. If this is confirmed, i guess we’ll se a lot more users on Makerworld and Bambu Studio.
People could have the ams compatibility device taking care of the filament changes, having some manual calibration to do prior to be able to slice the file because of the differences in everyone’s printers.
Give it a bit of time, and i guess the next printer everyone will buy is a Bambu, because it will free them of all the hassle of mantaining and calibrating a 3d printer.
