Hello.
Maybe this is not the right place for my question but I don’t know where to ask
There are some things to do in makerworld to get some points like: 1.Completed Personal Profile
I did all 3 requests, avatar, bio, username but even my username was changed I didn’t get points because makerworld don’t see that my username was changed. 2.Create models using MakerLab
Did 3 but makerworld see only 1 and get points only for 1
**3. After 28 published models, 27 downloads and 19 prints, I still don’t get points
**
What I do wrong?
Not sure about the first one but for MakerLab did you use the same tool to generate each one? If you click the i with a circle around it you’ll see:
Exporting multiple times from the same tool won’t earn additional points.
For your published models from memory you need 10 downloads for a particular model, and a print counts as two downloads. So for your 28 models if the downloads / prints are spread across them you probably don’t have an individual model that’s gone above that threshold yet.
a mi cuando empeze me paso eso msimo y pregunte a makerworld, los puntos y todo llegaron al dia siguiente o al de despues no te preocupes, mucha suerte con esos modelos
You may find chasing points here can be very frustrating. MakerWorld is purposefully vague on how they award points because we have a lot of point thieves looking to play every angle to get free stuff to resell and pocket cold cash.
Also, point awards have been nerfed and points aren’t awarded when earned. There are delays in the award mechanisms too.
The place is flooded with people churning out AI models that you get to compete against for eyes. Your models need to be pretty good and innovative to effectively compete with them. MakerWorld’s algorithm boosts the stuff people are looking at and the point hounds have social media groups and forums where they trade views and downloads to kickstart their points rewards gaming.
In short, you’ll likely be pretty disappointed in how your models are received, how many views they get, and how many downloads they see unless you find a way to bottle lightning or join in with the other point scammers to pervert the system too.
The point scammers have pretty well ruined this place for points. Your only defense is to manage your expectations, be realistic about the quality of your own models, and concentrate on doing good models that actually fill needs. You’ll build followers (albeit slowly) if you don’t churn out junk just to post things.
You’re obviously eager but need to understand you’re facing some big headwinds now.
I see lots of models are made by AI…sad, I have few friends too, they know nothing about 3D…
I just learn Blender and I start with easy models
I asked here only to know if I do something wrong, I’m not frustrated, I’m just curious
