Hi, first of all, thanks for starting this thread.
I’ll soon be receiving a H2C Laser Full Combo. Among the various uses I plan for it, I’ve just had a request from a client who needs to block the light from an LED in certain products.
He sent me the technical drawings and needs a very small opaque film piece as a solution.
He recommended working with black Lexan film (polycarbonate), reference 8B35E.
I’m not only unsure how this material will behave with the laser, but I also wonder if anyone knows of a similar film — one with a thickness of 125 microns (0.125 mm) — that is compatible with the H2C laser.
Although I can’t speak to that material specifically, is it possible that this could be a good candidate for the drag knife that comes with the laser combo? That way you wouldn’t have to worry about the heat from the laser on a thin material at least.
Thanks, that’s a good idea. However, it’s a bit odd — my client mentioned that the samples they had received in the past were always laser-cut (which is quite strange).
Now I’ll need to look for a film with that thickness that’s also opaque enough to block at least 90% of the LED’s brightness.

Do people notice that any of those could be found cheaper anywhere else? I bought a 10 tumbler pack from Aliexpress for the same price as Bambu is selling one. And as a bonus, they are exactly the same (even the pictures from Bambu are the same and the Aliexpress seller has been selling them for over a year already).
The Mini heat press machine can be found at half the price too (again, Bambu even used the same pictures as the seller), same brand and everything.
This is not as a hate comment, but an informative one

Just checked and Calogy (the heat press machine) has raised their prices everywhere. I got it last year for 17€. To be fair, while it worked, it was great. A few months ago it stopped working and since it came from Aliexpress, the seller did not help or cared. Maybe it’s one of the downsides and Bambu really gives the 2 year warranty on those. That’s a plus side, if they honor the warranty.
The tumblers i have to check as soon as i get home so i can confirm the real price and the seller link. Will post them as soon as i can
