New Maker's Beginner Kit

This seems like a great idea - an affordable set of components that will support a large number of projects. Also, I see that there’s an upcoming contest that should generate many compatible models and a live collection of those models.

Seems like a really solid starting point for new users and a good mixture of components to design around.

I like this little kit! Although I do have my bias, haha.

When the Maker Supply store was first opened, I got a sampling from Bambu with a few hardware bits, and it really opened up my perspective on the use of extended hardware to enhance my designs.

This is a great addition to help people dip their toes. I like their other larger kit, but it’s kind of pricy too, so I think this fills a gap and is much more approachable.

Perfect timing! I got my son an A1 for Christmas and was trying to figure out what kits I already have or ones I should order so he has some projects to build. This is quite a good sampling of fun things to build.

Makerworld needs additional search filters for specifying which hardware kit you own, and listing all of the models with hardware requirements covered by a given kit name.

A nice basic kit but anything with regular batteries needs an on/off switch. It would simplify things if Bambu could add one to it.

Thanks for noticing! And we do have a contest prepared for our creators to come up with more designs compatible with components provided in this kit.
The contest will begin on Dec 16th so you still have a couple of days to prepare! Can’t wait to see what y’all come up with!

Thanks for your advice. Our search function supports searching for models with Maker’s Supply BOM by entering the Product ID. Hope this could address some of your needs.

That’s great, but you need to add the autocomplete to the search bar (like there’s already one present for users and models) and allow for big/small letters to be indexed properly, compare:

(the only reason the 2nd one shows any model is because castle uses tag zc002)

actually… there should also be a search/autocomplete for tags with tag: prefix and maybe introduce a part: prefix for parts and fil: for filament? Would be cool additions, don’t you think @MakerWorld @Tanklet ?

And it would be great if there was a click-through from the store to the makerworld search with models using the part

@Makers_Supply I would prefer a selection feature like the one on the model upload page, where choosing a product automatically filters the models associated with it.

Furthermore, a search tool for the products themselves would be very useful. As the number of parts keeps increasing, finding specific ones is becoming more difficult.

For reference I’m talking about this selection:
