This is my 3rd iteration, so far so good. Though there’s a couple steps I think the toolhead should wait longer in the purge area and then wipe again. I think I’ve only had to pull something off of the wiper or the bed area once in 30 prints so far? Let me know if you have any observations/requests, thanks!
This was to originally address PETG’s incompatibility with the round ptfe perpendicular wiping that would result in wisps being dragged onto the bed.
At about 500 hours or so I had one of the PTFE pop off. Put it back on and added a dab of super glue on the end of each. At 790 hours now and still going strong.
Haven’t touched it though otherwise.

That’s a difference principle, and poor form.
It’s basically just a brush against the nozzle. I’ve seen better redesigns. There’s one that’s a silicone mat. That was interesting.
This one is for purposely pinching the filament and providing a non 90 degree angle of force without “loose ends”.

Just keep in mind the silicone wiper as well, doesn’t have anything on each side. So any wisps could laterally pull through. I would bet it’s uncommon.
Give this one a try if you want. I’m on 400+ hours and haven’t had to touch it.

Hi Kung, saw your *edit. I’m not advertising anything, I had a very sensible question hence my post and have received lots of great responses. I’m not sure what smack means but thanks for commenting on my post

Just an fyi, hit 1735 hours and haven’t touched the wiper for 735 hoursish now
