New old topic, unable to bind X-1 to account

I’ve read a number of posts regarding problems binding the printer to one’s account. I think I’ve tried all the ‘fixes’ but thought I’d go through what I’ve done to see if there’s something I’ve missed.

1- Connected printer to 2.4ghz network successfully, shows a reasonable signal.
2- Switched my mobile phone from 5ghz to 2.4ghz, checked for signal, all good.
3- Scanned QR code to open app to bind the printer to phone, It failed numerous times with error indicating the phone and printer might not be on the same network, which of course they were.
4- Moved printer to a location closer to the router just in case there was an issue with signal strength, got strong signal on both printer and phone, still failed numerous times.
5- Connected printer to phone hotspot successfully, good signal.
6- Did the scan QR code thing again and it still failed, same error message that the phone and the printer were not on the same network which seems incomprehensible.
7- Tried LAN only so I could print something but couldn’t get the computer to connect to the printer. The printer seems to have a reasonable 2.4ghz signal but the computer doesn’t even though they are less than a metre apart. Possibly can’t solve that one without a network extender.

So what have I missed or what might solve it?

Obviously the printer is completely reliant on WiFi which just isn’t connecting for some reason, if it had an ethernet cable I’d be up and running by now. Just a note though, if it takes me another 6 hours before I can send my first print, it will have taken me less time to build a Prusa kit and run my first print. Makes a bit of a mockery of the plug and play thing so hopefully it’s just an aberration, or hopefully I’ve just missed something simple somewhere, I’m keen to see what it can do.

All resolved, turns out to be a security setting on my phone. Everything now happily connected about to run first print.

Thank you! I was having the same issue, Your comment about security lead me to the “access devices on local network” slider for Bambu Handy. That did the trick. :+1:

I’m having the same problem sir, can you kindly post what you did?

Sorry, I’ve just seen this. It’s been so long I can’t quite remember what I did without going through settings on my phone. I trust you’ve worked it out by now.

For my case, it can’t be security because I have two X1C. One bind on first try, no problem. Second one keeps on timing out.

I only just saw your post so hopefully its all working for you now, sorry about that.

I’ve just added a new PS1 to my quiver, found binding was incredibly simple but perhaps a tad counter intuitive, I didn’t think it would work.
