P1S with AMS2 Pro.
Bambu says to get the IP code from the printer to connect to the computer.
All I get is a QR code at the printer. Maybe I’m doing something wrong.
I don’t have a problem connecting with my A1 Mini.
Thanks

You need to scan the QR code with the Handy App to add the printer to your account and transfer the wifi credentials to it. Without a phone there is a complexity added to the process. Suggest borrowing or finding a device that can have the Handy app loaded and has a camera.
Here is the step by step wiki guide detailing how to bind your printer using the QR code method.
Here is the wiki if you have issues binding the printer.
Here is the wiki page that has troubleshooting for if you are still having issues.
As a last resort the Wifi connection setup manual via a config file on the SD card.
Once the printer has been added to your network you should be able to access to code to connect it to Bambu Studio.
Thanks
I have over 20 hrs. trying to connect, with and without the iPhone.
I finally got it to give me the pin code, but every time I get.
How do I put the SSID…Password, on the SD Card root directory?
I don’t see a root directory.
Edit: Firmware 01.05.01.00, this may need up dated first, something else out of my league. I don’t remember my A1 Mini having these problems.
The root directory is the top level folder.
My P1S is also on that FW and I do work in LAN Only.
Windows 10
B Studio 1.10.1.50
Orca 2.2.0
I use access code for connection, not PIN
No cell service where I live.
Printer has never been logged into Bambu, QR code never scanned.
I used last link posted by JonRaymond for my setup.
Couple of things, Printer seems to need to connect at 2.4 GHz not 5 GHZ
Took several tries to finally get the connection and I use an assigned IP
user_wifi.cfg file goes at top level, not in any folders. Once you actually get connected to printer you can delete user_wifi.cfg from the card, until you do a factory reset.
Edit: use something like Notepad or Notepad ++ to create file.
Edit2: you can’t actually switch to LAN only mode until you at least get a SSID to display under WLAN on printer display, then you can go in and switch to LAN only and you can see if it actually picked up an IP or not.

Do you mean “cache”
I’ve been working 7 hrs. on this today and getting no where.
Thud-oops
IP and access will take me a while.
Where to fined or set 2.4GHz.
Don’t you create a folder with it in or on top of what, I don’t know what that looks like.
I have wifi cfg edited in Notepad, but didn’t know what to do with it
I’m up to almost 30 hrs. now
Thanks
This is out of my league, so I copy and paste it in model folder?
No, you put them in a file named user_wifi.cfg and put them in the root of the drive like in the picture I posted. Jon posted a link to the instructions:
Seeing the connection might mean using the administration interface for your router/wifi device. Not sure what country you are in but with say a xfinity/comcast supplied router you can go in and see both LANs. And it can be a good idea to assign them different names (& passwords) for the SSID, like mywifiname and mywifiname5 so that it is easier to know what you are connecting to. I will say that 2.4 is getting to be considered old school by some people and you may actually find wifi devices that don’t have a 2.4 side.
PrinterMcgee was just showing you an example with the file in place, he (?) just happened to have the model folder highlighted but wasn’t intending to mean to put the file there.
if the file exists, then all you need to do is edit it with your correct info
then save it.
If it is not actually letting you place the file on the card then it may be write protected.
How I got the above file, “New” >“Text Document”, then edited file name, “user_wifi.cfg”
Copied the words in notepad and tried to paste in that file.
I must have done something, it’s showing 1K
When I double click on it, it ask what program to open, then I pick Notepad and it’s there.
To open the file I have to pick Notepad every time.
But will that work when I put the SD card in the printer?
Yes.
You have to open the “.cfg” file with notepad to view it because it isn’t a “.txt” so your system doesn’t know what to natively open it with. The printer scans the SD card on boot for to see if there is a “.cfg” file.
Didn’t work, nothing changed at the printer.
I may have to send it back and get a different brand printer.
I could have pulled a car engine completely rebuilt it and put it back in, faster.
I’ve done it number of times.
So sorry that it didn’t work and the frustration you are having.
If nothing is showing at the printer under WLAN, then yes, for some reason it it is not reading/loading the cfg file
Also, I am sure you are already doing this… after ejecting the card from the printer you want to turn it off before inserting the card back in after editing, then turn printer back on once card is installed again.
And if you try formatting the card be sure and copy the files off of it first. Some files like the included models are not recreated by the format.
I’m getting this when I connect SD card to computer.
Should I let it Scan and fix.
Or save models, then format at the printer.
Thanks for all your help.
nothing changed
Bambu says I have to up grade the firmware, I have, 01.05.01.00
They said I have to use Handy app for that.
Now my iPhone keeps saying wrong password.
My A1 Mini connected to phone on it’s own.
Thanks
