I have been getting consistent poor quality issues on overhangs/bridges/supported areas on my new P1S.
For example this carabiner I’ve printed in PLA matte (black) and ABS just to be sure it’s not the fillaments fault. The areas in picture are areas over a tree support. Top Z distance set to 0.1.
The printer is brand new. I have done flow and flow dynamics calibration for both filaments. Could anyone advise what may be the problem?
Have you tried changing the Top Interface Spacing setting to 0? That will create a solid layer as the first layer above the support. You can also try using a support material between the support and the first layer. For example, for PETG, use PLA as the Support/Raft interface. If you have an AMS, it will switch between the two.
Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried 0 on Top Interface Spacing and also PETG for the support interface. This is the result. Still looks bad IMO:
I`d suggest using normal / default supports , which are the only ones ive used that appear to use a fine mesh as a interface , although im not entirely sure this isnt model related (gcode) it may cost a little more but it could be worth it .
The last example i used those settings and the print itself
I’ve been getting similar problems on my P1P.
