New PETG release date

According to the store, the current PETG is being phased out in favour of a new PETG, they have sold out of all variants.
Apparently the new filament is going to be better somehow.
Does anyone know when this will occur? When will this new improved PETG be available?

Thanks, Mike.

Although there are none left in EU or UK, there’re still some available in Canada, Australia or Japan and even one or two colors left in US or China stores so it will surely depend on the size of those stocks before bambu decides to throw them all out to make way for the new product…

Makes sense I guess, or they could just roll out the new filament and give a free old filament for a limited time (where available and at their discretion).
I just want some PETG, lol

I suppose the new filament is still not ready otherwise they would just sell the remaining stock at discount to clear the inventory.

It’s here

Hello everyone!

is anyone experiencing trouble while printing the new PETG HF? I loaded all four new rolls into my AMS and the printer recognized the new filament. I wanted to start a print through Bambu Handy and Studio but every time I got the error message saying that the file couldn’t be sliced. Everything has the actual firmware. I even downgraded everything and the error message was still showing. I loaded some Bambu PETG basic into my AMS and I was able to start a print. So the problem is definitely related to the new PETG HF.

Is it working on you guys? I already made a ticket but I do not have an answer yet.

I have a similar problem with the new filament. It is only recognized for 1 second in the AMS and then it is thrown out again and is unknown. You cannot manually enter the PETG-HF in the slicer because it does not appear on the list (latest version is installed). Only found in the list in the Bambu mobile app

Welcome to the forum.

Thank you, that worked really well. Do you have a solution so that the profile can be used in the Orca slicer? Unfortunately, it doesn’t work there yet.

I had the same experience and want use Orca as well. Also, I feel like the Handy app should be able to “on board” a new filament type into the AMS. But, I kinda get why it can’t.

Yes. As soon as I open Orca, my PETG HF filaments are shown as unknown again :joy::joy:. I have already tried to copy the PETG HF profiles from Bambo Studio into the files of the Orca Slicer, but unfortunately without success. The developers unfortunately have to release an update.
