New PLA Basic colours appear on the updated Filament swatch

I noticed the new Bambu Filament Swatches state it includes 21 BL PLA Basic samples.

Given BL currently only sells 19 variants, I wondered if these were older examples.

Having cross-checked the lists, I have found the new filaments are numbered with newer model numbers grouped within the main prefix category of PLA Basic 10xxx and the sub-category of white through to black (greyscales) xx10x.

New filament model numbers:

  • 10104
  • 10105

This same sub-category includes the existing filaments:

  • 10100 = Jade White
  • 10101 = Black
  • 10102 = Silver
  • 10103 = Gray

Do you have any thoughts on what these potential new filaments might be, or if they are old (even with greater model numbers), what they used to be?

I’m curious how that 10104 is going to look. How much tone it’ll have in it one way or another, in person. I’m not usually a fan of a full on white, but an off white could be nice. If it was just a like gray though… ehh.

Polymaker offers a filament called Muted White that I really like. This could offer me a Bambu alternative. It’d be more glossy than matte though, so, hmm. But it could give for a sophisticated look.

I am looking for a dark pure grey, which is missing from the current range and doesn’t appear in the new swatches.

I also seek a very dark brown/black, solely for a more perfect Oreo near-black.

My latest model would have benefited from it.
